Date: Thursday August 6th
Time: 6:00pm to 9:00pm
Location: Macaroni Grill, 8000 El Cerrito Plaza – El Cerrito Ca. 94530
Event Proceeds benefit the Special Olympics

On Thursday, August 6th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm., El Cerrito Police Officers will be out in force; but they have traded in their handcuffs and citations for serving aprons at the Macaroni Grill located at 8000 El Cerrito Plaza for a Tip-A-Cop fundraiser. During the fundraiser, Police Officers will collect tips from restaurant guests to benefit Special Olympics Northern California.

The Tip-A-Cop program is part of the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) and fundraising campaign for the Special Olympics. Special events like the Tip-A-Cop, are presented by more than 85,000 law enforcement officers worldwide to help raise money and public awareness for Special Olympics. Locally the Pinole Police Department and Berkeley Police Department have hosted Tip-A-Cop events. The money raised in these fundraisers goes directly to the local programs in the states or countries where the funds are generated.

The public is encouraged to support a worthy cause and join the El Cerrito Police Department at the Tip-A-Cop Fundraiser at the Macaroni Grill in the El Cerrito Plaza. Please call 510 – 215 – 4435 with any questions.
