Playland-Not-at-the-Beach subject of Jan. 22 meeting

Playland… in El Cerrito?? The January meeting of the El Cerrito Historical Society will feature a presentation by Richard Tuck about his “Playland-Not-at-the-Beach” museum. The meeting will be held at 1 PM on Sunday January 22, 2006, at the El Cerrito Senior Center. The meeting will start with a potluck lunch, followed by a short business meeting, and then Richard's presentation. Playland-Not-at-the-Beach has generated a considerable amount of local interest and Richard is an engaging and entertaining speaker. The museum is housed in a building just north of the El Cerrito City Hall, on the west side of San Pablo Avenue.

The El Cerrito Historical Society meetings draw attendees from a number of local communities and you do not have to be a member of the Historical Society to attend.
