Mural dedication

| Castro School dedicated its tile mural Jan. 31, 2001. The
festivities included speeches by school board president George
Harris III, top, and El Cerrito Mayor Layor Damon, middle. Music
was provided by Castro students and former students, led by
Janis Leiberman. Teacher Jim Aiken read a letter from French
artist Isabelle Delloye, who created the mural with the students.
Teacher Dan Mac Donald, who set the tiles, and many students
also spoke. Background |
